Capture your grief 2015 – Day 6 – Books

I shared last year that To linger on hot Coals www.tolingeronhotcoals.com was a book which spoke to me the most in those months so soon after my loss. It helped to hear the hearts and souls of other bereaved mothers woven so beautifully in the fabric of poetry. Their words still continue to touch my heart. The hurt, the pain, the anguish, the hope and above all the love.

I also appreciated the perspectives from Natalie Himmelrich in her book "Grieving parents surviving loss as a couple". It truly is a book that I wish I read those tough months after losing Zia and through all the strain my husband and I felt with our differing ways of grieving. This is definately a must read no matter where you are in your grief journey. Natalie writes so honestly, openly and beautifully about her own losses, first of her daughter and then her mother.
